Bournes Fishmongers & Seafood Bar is a family business founded by Bob and Lucie alongside their daughters in the community they’ve long called home.

Belsize Park has been part of their lives for many years, and when the opportunity arose to open Bournes three years ago, they saw it as a chance to give something back to the neighbourhood they love. From day one, their vision has been simple: to bring exceptional fish, honest food, and genuine hospitality together under one roof.

Every morning starts with sourcing the freshest fish and seafood available, and great pride is taken in everything offered, both at the fish counter and in the Seafood Bar. Whether customers are picking up dinner to enjoy at home, stopping by for oysters and a glass of wine, or sharing a seafood feast with friends, the same commitment to quality and care runs through every experience.

As a small independent business, Bob and Lucie remain hands-on every day and can often be found behind the counter, welcoming customers and sharing recommendations. Over the years, many customers have become friends, and that sense of community is something they truly value.

Thanks to the support of neighbours and the local community, Bournes has grown into something they are incredibly proud of. Their aim has always been to create a place where people feel at home, whether visiting the fishmongers or dining in the Seafood Bar, with quality at the heart of everything they do and a warm welcome for everyone who walks through the door.
